Growing up in a household steeped in principles of hard work and service, I learned invaluable lessons from my father, a military veteran turned local business owner in Frederick. His mantra was simple yet profound: “If you are going to do something, do it right.” These values became the cornerstone of LaymanREI.

My interest in service began in the fire department as a volunteer firefighter in Frederick City, later transitioning into a professional firefighting career spanning over 25 years across Virginia and the District of Columbia. Through my experiences, I developed my leadership skills and learned to support individuals during their most trying times.

 

Throughout my high school years, I developed a passion for the construction trades, immersing myself in the residential building industry. Working alongside seasoned professionals gave me a deeper understanding of craftsmanship and the importance of attention to detail in every phase of the project.

Over two decades ago, I obtained my real estate license and began my real estate career as a salesperson for a prominent real estate firm. Working with top agents in a highly competitive market provided invaluable insights into the buying and selling of properties. As the real estate landscape evolved, I took the opportunity to establish my own venture, LaymanREI, committed to providing our clients with the highest level of service and respect.
